The Genoa Indian School Digital Reconciliation Project received a three-year, $350,000 Humanities Collections & Reference Resources Implementation Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to digitize, contextualize, and make available materials related to the Genoa U.S. Industrial Indian School. This grant will enable the Project to complete its second phase : the preservation and transcription of approximately 50 hours of oral histories of Genoa school attendees and the digitization and description of approximately 410 pages of records for Cheyenne and Arapaho children located at the Oklahoma State Historical Society, about 6,300 pages of U.S. government documents located in the National Archives in Washington, D.C., and 200 photographic images at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland.
