Anna Shavers, Cline Williams Professor of Citizenship Law and program faculty in women's and gender studies, has been appointed to the American Bar Association's task force on international trade in legal services. The task force works to: monitor ongoing trade negotiations and other initiatives that impact trade in legal services; inform and educate bar association members and state regulators about legal services trade issues and how they will impact the practice of law; and communicate about legal services with representatives from the Office of U.S. Trades and Department of Commerce. Shavers' appointment concludes in August 2016.
